Private Performance Rates:

$50 for a 5-minute 'bellygram.' These are suitable for special events when the goal is to shower your guest of honor with attention.

$200 for a 20 to 30 minute solo performance, unless given special dispensation by Javarah.

Javarah will provide music unless you make a special request. Your live drummers and musicians are welcome as accompaniment. Javarah will not provide audio equipment unless requested. Equipment may be subject to retail rental rates depending on what is required for your event.

Troupe Performances are available. Rates negotiable varying with number of performers, duration of performance, and distance travelled. Minimum cost is $150 for 10 minute performance with 3 performers.

Public Class Rates:

** Currently, Javarah's Public Classes are through the City of Federal Way. No public classes are scheduled at this time. Please contact City of Federal Way to request public class information through the City.**

Private Lesson Rates:

Let Javarah be your personal Bellydance Trainer! Solo or group private lessons.

$45 per hour for individual private lessons. Minimum 2 hours. Lessons may be held in your home, office or a location you obtain.

$70 per hour for groups of 2 to 8 students at your location. Minimum 2 hours. Students may split the total cost between all students. Payment due at lesson. $5 per hour additional for each additional student over 8.

Corporate Class Rates:

Rates by request. Each class is tailored to the company needs. Monthly or hourly rates may be considered depending on frequency of classes and other considerations.

Corporate classes may be subsidized or sponsored in whole by the corporation involved. Javarah must be provided with appropriate outside contractor information in order to bill the company for any such subsidy. Javarah will be treated as an outside contractor.

Hold lessons in a conference, lunchroom, your company's gym or dojo, or other company-provided space.

Sorry, no refunds are allowed for corporate classes once the session has begun, except for extreme health situations. See below for more information.

Workshop Rates:

Workshops and Dance Camps operated through City of Federal Way, Alexandra's School of Bellydance, and producing organizations besides Javarah, are subject to the payment and cancellation policies of those separate producing organizations.

Javarah's private and corporate workshops are subject to regular hourly rates, as listed on this page's Private and Corporate sections.

Payment Policies:

Pre-payment is appreciated to reserve your spot, in full or with deposit of $25.

Full payment is due at the beginning of the class or workshop.

Checks or cash are accepted, and will be held until the first day of class. Paypal is also accepted.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Transfer Policies:

PUBLIC CLASSES / WORKSHOPS: Classes managed for Javarah through separate producing organizations are subject to their specific policies. Please contact those producing agencies for more information.

Should a student decide to cancel registration after weekly public classes have begun, a $25 cancellation fee will be withheld, per person, except for extreme health situations.

Full registration fee will be forfeit to Javarah if cancellation occurs more than halfway through full session.

If alternate classes are available during the student's cancelled session, the student may transfer registration to another class for comparable remaining class time rather than forfeit registration fee.

If the student has missed a class, and alternate classes are available during the student's registered session, the student may attend an alternate class for comparable class time without additional fees.

Registrations are not transferrable to later sessions, exept for extreme health situations.

PRIVATE GROUP CLASSES / WORKSHOPS: Private groups must give at least 3 days notice of cancellation to receive full refund on any prepayments. Private groups cancelling with less than 3 days notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% on any prepayments.

Private groups may reschedule classes or workshops within 2 months [60 days] of the original lesson start date without penalties or forfeiture of any prepaid registration.

When rescheduling is not an option, Private group registration fees may be applied toward an available public class beginning within 2 months [60 days] of the original lesson start date, by request.

PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS: Private individuals must give at least 1 day notice of cancellation to receive full refund on any prepayments. Private individuals cancelling with less than 1 day's notice are subject to a $25 fee on any prepayments, except for extreme health situations.

Private individuals may apply cancelled registration fee towards a public session or reschedule private lessons within 2 months [60 days] of original lesson start date without penalties or forfeiture of prepaid registration.

CORPORATE CLASSES / WORKSHOPS: No refunds are allowed for corporate classes once classes have begun, except for extreme health situations.

If alternate classes are available during the student's cancelled session, the student may transfer registration to another class rather than forfeit registration fee.

If the student has missed a class, and alternate classes are available during the student's registered session, the student may attend an alternate class to make up the missed instruction without additional fees.

Registrations are not transferrable to later sessions, exept for extreme health situations.

INSTRUCTOR CANCELLATIONS: Javarah reserves the right to provide a skilled substitute should her absence from a regularly scheduled class be necessary.

Javarah reserves the right to cancel classes or workshop sessions not meeting minimum attendance requirements.

Should a pre-paid class or workshop be cancelled by Javarah, class fees for those classes not held will be fully refunded, or the cancelled class will be rescheduled with the participants' approval.

Classes managed for Javarah through separate producing organizations are subject to their specific policies. Javarah will not be held responsible for policies of separate producing organizations; please contact those independent producers for more information.

PREGNANCY & BELLYDANCE: When students are pregnant, Javarah encourages students to get the 'go ahead' from a certified health care practitioner before beginning a new exercise regimen. As your pregnancy progresses, please keep Javarah [or any teacher] aware of special health concerns you or your doctor may have for you. We can adjust warm-ups and dance exercises to best fit your needs during pregnancy. Dancing is always at your own risk, so enjoy yourself, but do not push yourself beyond comfortable limits.

Bellydance is based on natural movements your body can already accomplish. As your body metamorphoses during pregnancy, you will find every movement you make - whether dance-related or not - feels slightly different. Alert your certified health care practitioner immediately to any changes you notice which concern you.

EXTREME HEALTH SITUATIONS: Should a student become physically unable to participate in a class for which payment has already been received, Javarah may commute registration to a later session or arrange a pro-rated refund upon request.

Javarah will not be held responsible for students who become injured while dancing. Check with your certified health care practitioner before beginning a new exercise regimen, and any time your health status changes.

Know your limitations and share them with your dance instructors so your dance curriculum may be safely personalized.
